The mission of the Software Licensing department is to consult and assist with procurement of computer software with an interest in cost avoidance and asset management. The Software Licensing department is dedicated to providing courteous customer service while maintaining high standards in professional ethics.

Pirating Penalties

Using unlicensed copies of software is pirating and it is illegal. Penalties could make the university liable for up to $150,000 for each instance of an illegal title. Contact the Software Licensing office if you have any questions about software licensing or if you need help understanding the license agreement for a product that you are considering.
